Israel *never* spoke directly to the heathens? Please turn to the Torah, and read in Genesis
16, 7-14, where the God of Israel spoke directly to Hagar, who was an Egyptian. Please turn a
few pages farther on and read Genesis 20, 3-7, where God spoke directly to Abimelech, king of
Gerar.
