I would like to discuss the nature of God's judgement as it appears in the book of Ecclesiastes.
It seems that the author sees all human life as being painful, and he does not see righteousness as protecting one from death.
The sinner and the righteous person both meet the same end. Yet he also writes that God will judge the wicked person and, it seems, make his life even more unpleasant.
I would like any answers to just make reference to this book. I don't want anyone citing any other books of the Bible in response, please.
