: I am studying women in the bible for an upper level cl. I am neutral in my study so please no opinions! My interest is in the gnostics especially the book of mary. I am wondering why gnostic books like that of mary and thomas have been denied by so many sects of christianity. They give such insight on the lives of the people that surrounded jesus.
