While watching the Seventh Sign last night, I decided to check out the Catholic connection. I pulled out my handy dany catechism book. There is no refernce to the Guf in it. It may, however, be in the mythology somewhere. Also, a couple of priests I've asked about it did not believe it was a part of the Catholic teachings.
