Hi:
There is one person by that name in Genesis 26:34
who was a Hittite woman who Esau the son of Isaac
married, which marriage distressed his parents
greatly.
I suspect that the Judith you have heard about is
the one who is the heroine of the book of Judith
in the Apocrypha. You probably know that the
Apocrypha is not recognized by Protestants as part
of the Bible although the Roman Catholic Church
does recognize and include it. Briefly, Judith
was a beautiful widow who lived in a city besieged
by the yrians (?). Because there was no hope
of relief, Judith went out to the enemy's army,
and agreed to sleep with the general, Holofernes.
But when he came in to the bedchamber, she killed
him and beheaded him, then took his head back to
the city. When Holofernes' body was found, the
army was thrown into confusion, and retreated,
thus saving the city.
Hope this helps -
