: I'm trying to find a specific piece.Does anyone know where I might be able to pick up Samuel Barber's "Adagio" performed by the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra? Unfortunately, I cannot be so specfic as to provide a year. Any information would be appreciated.
I believe the recording you seek is on the Argo label. The main work on the disc is Barber's "Symphony No. 1." There is plenty of fill material, and I think the "Adagio" features amongst it. David Zinman would be the conductor. Contact a good clical music specialty store and, if they don't have it, special order it. Good luck.
