Can you tell me who the above quotation excerpt comes from and hopefully the text, in full I think it's 'Ask not to what Doctors I apply; sworn to master, no servant am I', but I'm unsure.
I had thought it was Aristotle or Cicero, but can't find it. Another attributed to Cicero has proved difficult to trace and may be misquoted :
"Nobody grows old by merely living a number of years. People grow old only by deserting their ideals. Years wrinkle the face - to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul.
Worry, self-doubt, fear, despair - these are the long, long years that bow the head and turn the growing spirit back to dust." Still, it's lovely. Many thanks in anticipation.
