Hmmm lets see…

This is one of my favorite topics to debate… However I can not say that I totally disagree with you both or agree with you both. I can tell you that you both pushed out some insightful thoughts. Even with in the end seems like you both agreed almost completely.

Hamilton believe if I am correct that God perse is a state of mind that we all wish to achieve… Perhaps the teaching was miscued and twisted around and instead of worshipping someone else we should have seen it as getting our mental state to a certain point. A point of euphoria perhaps. (Please corrects me if I am wrong.) Instead of God or Faith being separate but actually almost one in the same. Example… Learning and developing our mind to levels beyond ones before us. Perhaps seeing things totally different than the ones before us. Maybe we were suppose to take all the teachings and instead of ripping them up and separating them. Maybe we should have mashed them all together and came to the conclusion that in order to be divine is truly to have faith in ones self. In a lot of old religions there were a lot of sacrifices. Something's are actually hideous… I believe as time ped and our minds developed on their own they became unbearable so they were cast aside slowly. So in return our minds did developed and our religions changed… There fore what Plaxx said about animal worship coming into play? We sacrificed our young to animals perse to calm them temporarily. Perhaps but as we developed into a smarter species we came up with other ways to calm wild animals. So perse your theory on this is correct it is still a state of mind they "We" As humans reach once we find other ways to calm or pointly avoid the beast and protect our children. In you are closing statement. "You have found the man who looks no higher than the human brain for his god. And he is all the god I need." I believe in a since this is what Halmiton was saying. God is with in our minds. Is a conscious state we should all learn to reach for and perhaps the world would be a much better place to live… not to be godly as in over zealous and being out and out snotty but a conscious decision to reach for a state of fulfillment and teach our children to do the same. Teach faith with in ones self in order to obtain a greater knowledge. (Now I HOPE I am not ay off base on my ogy here! If I am please tell me!)

Food for thought Cyn
