Okay…. Perse you are correct and this is a skin we are slowly shedding. However I see it differently. Or lets say I have this BLIND faith in hopes that we start encouraging our young and the generations to come to have FAITH in ones self… To rely on yourself for satisfaction and happiness. I am not saying throw all religion out the window… No not in the least. I am saying that perhaps all these teaching over the centuries have been maybe misplaced Example as before and I bring this fact up again because you have yet to touch on this point. What would our world be like today if we had as much faith in ourselves and the mind we all share… (Some just use it more.) However, what would this world consist of if we did have faith in ourselves instead of idols perse or perhaps all the faith we put into "God" I am not saying there is a God or there isn't… I just think that if we put as much into ourselves and the way we believe in religions. Our world would possibly be more harmonies. When I say we I mean society as a whole… Now to discuss something you pointed out in your last post… About the time between 4 million and 6000bc. This is when as you put it… "Somewhere in that unimaginable span of time, he also developed faith. Why is that? What persuaded him to ditch his instinct as a self contained entity and throw his eyes and soul up towards the moon...which is perhaps the first thing man saw and prayed to as he became bipedal." Perhaps it was development of our minds. Being able to hold a concept of after death… I can not say for fact but think of it on this line… At this time in our evolution perhaps once we developed reason with in our minds and morals entered in here somewhere as well. Perhaps it was unfathomable for the mind to comprehend as he gazed up at the stars and the moon that he was "it." The eye could see no end to space or things about him and so therefor the mind works in odd ways. Perhaps thinking that there IS something out there greater and more powerful than he was soothing. A comfort the mind needed at this point and time… A way to hold onto sanity with in this time period. A blind faith yes. Somewhat feeble if you ask me. However, to say once dead that is it is scary don't you think? We live once and we are finished nothingness… I could understand creation of faith with in this time. Our minds developed into reasoning organs… They needed something to hold onto and keep them from losing it perhaps… I am not sure I explained myself completely here … I am working on lil to no sleep… To sum it all up. Perhaps faith was a safe haven for the mind in this time. Now that our minds has evolved even more maybe faith shall evolve with us. Into what our minds decide we need now… Who knows only time will tell. Along with death…
