It was interesting to read your response. I don't agree with your statements regarding the authenticity of the Bible. Your subjective statement "I believe that..." is not really relevant to the question at all.
In order to arrive at an honest answer you must approach the text with an objective mind set. In other words "What does the text say?"
Modern scholarship has failed again and again to prove the Bible wrong. This is a good indicator that it is a reliable source for all we know. Right?
In fact, scholars change their theories when new evidence come to light that supports the Bible.
You know, I hope that you will subject yourself to seriously studying this issue.
Try to expose your presuppositions and challenge them with the Word of God. This is the only way you can ind the truth.
Check out this book: Evidence that Demands a Verdict. by Josh McDowell
: i agree with the statement "god created us in his image and we created him in ours." the bible is a little more than an interpertation of God with a few quotes from him in it. God gave us the gift of free will. With free will we will also make bad choices like destroying wildlife, nature and our bad nature (adultrey robbery murder). I believe in A god but not as much what the Bible says. The Bible has been edited so many times that the meaning has been eskewed somewhat.
