According to the myth, the orignial inhabitants of earth were round creatures w/ 4 hand and 4 feet with their back sides forming a cricle. These self-sufficient less beings were very arrogant and repeatedly attacked the Gods. To punish them, Zeus hurled thunderbolts at them and split them apart. Each creature now two, longing to merge with it's other half...
