The Kingdom of EnenKio
- Present Status -
Background
The government of the Kingdom of EnenKio was established in 1994 under authority and by direction of His Majesty, King Murjel Hermios, Head of State and the hereditary Iroijlaplap (Paramount Chief) of the Northern Ratak atolls of the Marshall Islands. The Executive branch is headed by the king, his Minister Plenipotentiary and an appointed Executive Council, which was initially composed of six Ministers and the king. The Constitution of EnenKio, as in the case of many other societies, itemizes protections of the rights of the citizens, sets forth the authority and responsibility of the government and establishes duties and succession protocol of the Monarch and Royal Family. EnenKio is Republic, a Limited Constitutional Monarchy. The inappropriate European name by which this region is widely known is Wake's Atoll or simply, Wake Island.
Resolved to regain active use, occupation and control of Eneen-Kio Atoll, now occupied by the heavily armed forces of the United States, King Murjel Hermios appointed Mr. Robert Moore to the title of Minister Plenipotentiary. His task was to establish a governing body and pursue eviction of the invaders from the United States by whatever means is found to be sufficient. Mr. Moore organized the beginnings of the governmental authority by appointing Ministers and embling the first group of citizens of the new nation, who subsequently ped a Declaration of Sovereignty, accepted the Constitution and affirmed allegiance to King Hermios, First Monarch of the Kingdom of EnenKio.
It was then formally announced that EnenKio was a new sovereign state. Notices were sent to representatives of the Republic of the Marshall islands, the United States, United Nations, UN Security Council, South Pacific Commission, NATO, media sources around the world, most Pacific Island nations and several nations elsewhere. Declaratory doents were filed and sent to top U.S. officials (with copies to the UN) stating the historical facts of King Murjel Hermios' right and title, in allodium, for wantonly wasting the atoll and then declaring a value of the ly held islands and demanding payment from the U.S. for use (rent) since the 1899 seizure and hopelessly defective annexation attempt.
Subsequently, the United States failed to answer each and every action taken to solidify the sovereignty of the Kingdom and is now in a default position with respect to the monthly demands for payment over the issue of its occupation of the king's property. It is believed that these legal notices, by virtue of action filed in U.S. federal court, and unanswered complaints and demands now have the force of law in commerce, under national and international laws and conventions.
King Murjel Hermios was determined to regain occupation of Eneen-Kio Atoll. Unfortunately, he ped away quite suddenly in December 1998. In his place as Second Monarch, his brother Remios stepped forward to take the staff as Head of State. (see What's New for news releases) Once the goal of active control over the lands and seas of Eneen-Kio Atoll is realized, work will begin off a virtual "blank slate" as the newest sovereign nation in the North Pacific. Plans are being promoted that embody beneficial programs that will emphatically impact the world populace, move environmental security to new heights of reality and serve demands for advanced communications with the installation of facilities accessible to the global community. Revenue from negotiated contracts and investment capital will supply implementation funds for programs. Ther are no taxes to be essed or collected from the people. In the meanwhile, the government remains in exile.
Today's Challenge for Tomorrow's Future
A development Bond program is planned for commencement in the immediate future. Applications are available for citizenship, pports, licenses, business and ship registration, free trade and manufacturing for those who wish to join this effort and encourage the effort to return recognition to the displaced sovereign and citizens of the northern Ratak atolls. Consuls and Ambadors to foreign offices and Trade Missions and other diplomatic appointments are also being made to qualified individuals willing to actively participate at a gr roots level.
Additional human resources and people knowledgeable in international policy, diplomatic protocol, spaceport and aircraft operations, telecommunications, shipping, manufacturing, chemical engineering and a host of other disciplines will be required to design and attract development projects and implement envisioned programs. Contractual arrangements for professional consultation and services in law, finance, commerce, economics and others are being actively sought.
All readers who have an interest and are so moved, which is umed if you have read this far, are encouraged to submit a Personal Involvement form accessible at the link below. By submitting the form below, you will be advised of the latest developments, provided an outline of needs and may at some point be invited to actively participate in development and promotion of EnenKio and to become a citizen of the fledgeling nation.
