Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
Possibly Donne's "A Valediction: Forbidding Mourning" perhaps? but I can't get a hold of the poem so I don't know (live in remote country)
It's about two about to be separated and the bloke refers to themselves as a comp - she the part of the comp who is fixed in the centre to one spot unable to move and he the other that circles the world (or whatever) but is forever bound to her and can and will only return to her. Make sense?
I've probably confused the hell out of you all. Sorry!
It'd be great if you knew the poem I'm talking about and could help.
Cheers
Kate
