Mark,your're right about the ten commandments, people disregard them. When Jesus came to us he fullfilled the law, we are no longer under the law of the commanments, we are are saved in Faith By Jesus alone. People who follow the law alone, without the saving grace of Jesus, will be judge by the law. NONE will be saved by the law. True Christians keep the law because they love Jesus.
I know what I'm saying you've heard before. The Holy Bible is Book based on facts, there is historical proof other than the Bible that confirms that he did exist and died on a cross,and was resurrected. He was here more than a month after this, over 500 witnesses saw him beside his apostles. No other religion can came this kind of miracle. The things prophesied in the Bible relating to Jesus first coming happend to the letter, and we're watching everything he said would happen before his second coming, happening right now. No other religion can predict the future, this proves the book is devine.

Only thing I can suggest, is to ask God for some guidance, but the only way for God to hear you is, you must ask for forgiveness of your sins, otherwise he will not here you. Here is a prayer for you.

"Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God and that you died on the cross for my sins to save me from eternal death. Forgive me of my sins, I open the door of my life and receive you as my Savior and Lord. I put my Faith in you Alone, I give you my life. Help me to be what you want me to be, Amen."

IF you said this prayer, and your heart was in it he WILL help you. I and my wife received Jesus last year, and our lives have'nt been the same since.
My wife at the time was addicted to pain pills and I could'nt bare it much longer myself. I was looking toward sucide. We were both saved, my wife is longer addicted and I know now that life is to precious to destory. I'll add your name to our prayer list at my church. I'll pray that God will reveal himself to you and that you will know that this life we have here is just a speck in time compared to the life we can have with Jesus in eternity.
