What a great topic. There is certainly a valid thesis there to compare these two in a similar mold. And that's where you start, in your introduction which leads to the thesis. I'd set up my intro with some basic info about the two works at issue. (Still ... I wonder if you posted at the Euripides site, since the sacrifice of Iphigenia is handled at length in a play by Euripides, not Aeschylus. Of course, it is this even which explains why Clytemnestra wants to kill Agamemnon on his return home from Troy in the AGAMEMNON tragedy by Aeschylus.)
Secondly ... present a summary of each "sacrifice." Present the Biblical one first, if you wish ... or, if your topic was the Greek play, start with the Euripides. Utilize a paragraph for each. Emphasize the role the God plays in the demand. It is Yahweh in Genesis, and Artemis in IPHIGENIA IN AULIS. Why is the sacrifice precisely called for? How do the father's react? What role, if any, do the mother's or other family members play in any of the decisions? What eventually povides the impetus for the carrying out of the sacrifice? And what are the final implications of the sacrifice?
Afterwards, you might present (in the fourth paragraph) an examination of the similarities of the two stories, drawing out the salient points you mentioned in the second and third paragraphs.
The fifth paragraph will point out any differences that might be relevant to the discussion. But you may not even have to do this, since your thesis deals with the sims.
Conclude the paper with a summary, reiterating the thesis and your findings.
Even as I write this, I figure I'm too late to help you. I wish I would have seen this question earlier. I don't frequent this board as often as I should. Usually nothing much is happening here. But here you have a wonderful topic, and I missed it. BUt maybe someone else can benefit from what is said here ... and I will try to be here on a more regular basis, so I don't miss out again.
