Hi there. Well, I am a student at Roger Williams University and one of my ignments in History is on Tocqueville. I have tried reading "Democracy and Equality" from the book Ideals and Ideologies but I do not understand the selection at all!! My paper needs to discuss..."according to Tocqueville, how does American society of the 19th century differ from Eurpean societies?"....that is only part of my paper. However, I need help. I do not understand what he is saying. Please help me!
