: : Many people believe that the scriptures are directly inspired by God. When others question their belief systems they usually apply the test, "Do you believe the Bible is the inerrant Word of God?"
: : How do you feel about that?
: I believe the bible is directly inspired by God. I think in 2Timothy there's a verse that says "all scripture is God breathed and is profitable for correction" etc. Other versions says "inspired by God". I'm not sure of the exact chapter and verse because I don't have my bible here at work, but you could probably find it if you got hold of a bible.
: The inspired word of God was written by 40 people, over many centuries, and each book is written as though it were the last!! How often have you seen even 4 people sit down and write such an awesome work without compromise and disputing? Even when they are educated and sitting together in the same workspace? That alone puts the Bible in a cl by itself. That shows a higher authorship. No other work has inspired and comforted so many. No other work can touch people who are hurting. When a person accepts Jesus as his perosnal Savior, the Book starts to come alive! Things read prior to acceptance that were boring or incomprehemsible become meaningful and real! I jnow, it happened to me!
In Christ,
John.
