Idiot book 4 chap. 5: Aglaya buys hedgehog from Kolya, sends it as a gift to Myshkin.
Lizaveta Prokofyevna briefly obsesses about the significance of the gift.
Reminds me of a single panel cartoon I saw once, I'm not sure if it was in Ranger Rick or Playboy...
but it's something like two porcupines cuddling or having or something like that,
and of course the punch line is "You always hurt the one you love."
What think ye? Is this the significance of the hedgehog?
certainly fits nicely with themes from many works...
