: Am I correct in uming that in this essay Burke
: supports the view thatHUMAN NATURE must be contolled
: because liberty is a dangerour tool?
Edmund Burke had first hand news of the atrocities committed in France under the sham excuses of Fraternity, Liberty and Equality.
He lived at a time when the rhetoric was put to the test, and sadly, the utopian schemes of libertarian democracy will ever degenerate unto mob rule. Man has a sinful nature and is not going to create a Peaceful and prosperous earth while ignoring God and his Word as revealed in His Body, the Church. The French, the Communists and the s all tried to build their own Godless systems another way "for the good of the people" and we know where it all went.
