: I sit here listening to my scanner. I feed off it's dull tones and dispatchers and cops and firemen and offshore boating people. I'm sick to death. The rain on my window and the sound of the wind are nice. Now I wish I'd stayed in bed for the day. It could have been a nice day to sleep. A nice day to tell all the inauthentics back at the office to my good and clean. They'd know what I meant. They too felt like staying in bed. But they didn't. They arose. They lost another part of themselves without knowing it. I'm not sure if I'm any different, being here, typing into this computer the stuff that I'm too afraid to tell the people who call me for the news. Everything is news. Lines are falling, budgets are being inflated, and Joe Needsains dog just died. Tell Kierkegaard to give me a call. We can each others brains out until there's nothing left but the smell of lilacs. I'd like that.
