: I've got a paper to conjure up in the next few months, and I was wondering if any one had suggestions on which way to go. I've considered comparing epictetus, aurelius, and seneca and to whom did Socrates have the most influence. I've also considered applying Plato's Republic's philosopher King to Marcus Aurelius. it has to come with an historical overtone(historygrad). Another option is to show each other's influence upon another. My last option (and probably most doable) is compare Meditations to the actual practices of Marcus Aurelius. Anyone have suggestions on books(primary sources) that would break down his policies???? : any suggestions for that matter would be helpful.
