Dear Sir,
Dear Mr Baracar,
My name is Giannis Styamatellos. I was searching the web when i descover
your email in the Plotinus Hall in April 16, 1998. I am also an admier
of Plotinus the last two years and my work which will be published in
Modern Greek is based in III.7 "On Eternity and Time". I am working in
Greece as a computer programmer but my interests are targeting in Ancient Greek Philosophy. As you know is
my trandition. You must feel very proud that you understand and translate
Plotinus in portuguese. I feel very proud too. After Swyzers publish in 1951 there
is a great interest for Plotinus texts. Now i am translating Ennead V.5. I have
also written an article about the birds in plotinus perception of nature. Last year
in Greece we had a great seminar about Ennead III.7 with the Prof. Michael Frede
from Oxford. It was helpfull. I really want to keep contact with you and i if
you can send me your Portuguese Translation and i will send you all of my works. I
beleive that Plotinus thought is the time to be shared to all (if they want). Chapter
11 as you perfectly understand is one of the best parts of the Enneads. I will be
greatfull if you could me send me your translations.
Congradulations from Greece.
Yours Sincerely
Giannis Stamatellos
