Have you read Coleridge' Kubla Khan ? This poem was about his experience or a dream he had whilst heavilly influenced by opium. Infact he was addicted to the stuff. He was interupted when recalling this dream to paper by a call to work...hence the idea it is a fragment of the dream, as when he returned from work some hour later he had forgotten the rest!

he only 'went out' so to speak with two girls called sarah, one was called sarah hutchinson, who he married, and the other he really fancied but nothing came of it, except they did write a magazine together which wasn't successful. He resented his wife, and only married her in the first place so him and a frien who lived in bristol, uk, could move to the us and create a pantesocracy society

he was a great fan of opium and this added to his deppressive state of mind expressed through some of the stanza's in dejection:an ode.. look at the way in which he interprets nature.. it is portrayed as a bad thing very different to how other romanticism writers portray nature... eg wordsworth.

Coleridge married Sara Fricker, and had an obsession with Sara Hutchinson.

What's ur problem anyway,, u just think that i'm hiding something from u well you're definitely wrong. I have my e-mail add before when i was in my undergrad. pa but i haven't use it for a long tym. Well, about that poem u've said it's about COLERIDGE and I don't hav any plans of discussing pa if sino c Coleridge, we were required kc sa major nmin in literature to search for it okkkk....?
And for your information, every person naman dito sa mundo eh may kanya kanyang weaknesses di ba kahit ikaw alam ko weaknesses mo...hehehe!
S-E-C-R-E-T.....M jst kidding...

Coleridge was a junkie believe it or not. he used liquid heorine. That explains the odd poem Kublah Khan. Whilst writing that he is said to have been high. i recommend that you read his poem. It's very effective touches upon the subject of life and death.
