If you agree with Freudian psychology then you have to realize that you have "hang ups" that are significantly affecting your life. All our lives society, through the family, teaches us to deny there is anything wrong with us and to hide our limits from the world because we need to be mighty. So people attack, ridicule, and present Freud in such a way as to stay away from getting to know themselves.
