: I am currently preparing for a cl discussion on the subject on the implications of Heisenberg's principle of Indeterminacy for Social Sciences. I have come to the conclusion that the main implication of this principle is the recognition that there exists no absolute theory in terms of philosophy, which may or may not be true. Therefore, Social Sciences could produce yses of social life only in the way of probabilities. I would like to hear from anyone interested in the subject to comment on this, so that I can go into the discussion with a broader understanding of the whole principle.

a noble effort but I see no way that quantum mechanics can be extended to the Social Sciences.
it seems to be more concerned with the concept "absolute" and how one goes about determining the truth of anything.
some people believe there are absolute ethical standards and some deny it. It seems that if anything is "absolute" it should have general ent...but it doesn't. thus, how can it be "absolute"?
furthermore, what kind of verification procedure would one apply to demonstrate the truth of something "absolutely" true? The scientific procedure allows use to infer high probability but not "absolutely" true since there might always be a contra case 100 years from now.
So it would appear that the scientific method is the wrong method to establish "absolute" truth.
How does one do it?
