There has been one idea not completely central to the theme of 'Franny and Zooey' that I have contemplated more than others. I have taken into consideration Zooey's idea about the words of Jesus: "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth." Zooey makes the comment that education can be a treasure. I have always considered the verse to be speaking of material possessions. This new twist has caused me to re-evaluate my own drive towards higher education.
