Mr Salinger,
I saw a posting with your name on it. Was it really you or am I only wishfully dreaming. I have been harbouring a secret desire to contact you regarding Franny and Zooey for a couple of years now, and looked it up today on the internet, and there you were. Thank you for the book, it has moved me and changed my life many times over. I am sorry that in this life I will never have the opportunity to meet you. You are truely a great artist.
